Email Marketing

REACH YOUR AUDIENCE AT THE RIGHT TIME, EVERY TIME

Create Your Own Unique Visual Style and

Email list growth is just something you’ll never stop doing! Attracting new ideal audience members to your email list to nurture them and eventually turn them into devoted customers should be a priority as a new or veteran entrepreneur.

Check out email marketing samples from my time as the Marketing & Communications Specialist at the Adolescent Health Initiative. Utilizing their email marketing software, myemma, I was able to nurture and grow their 9-thousand subscriber list through consistency, .

Over time, the Marketing & Events Team worked to segment their bi-monthly newsletter: one solely featuring the Annual Conference on Adolescent Health (coined Updates and Opportunities with the Annual Conference on Adolescent Health), and the other highlighting resources and opportunities (Updates and Opportunities with the Adolescent Health Initiative).

Through this shift, we were able to differentiate the newsletters so our audience-base could easily access what they needed, increase transparency, etc.

Webinar Follow-Up Email Marketing
Webinars are an effective lead generation tool - you're providing value to your audience in exchange for their time and email address. Most organizations plug their products and services at the beginning and end of a webinar. What most people miss is the opportunity to follow-up after the webinar with marketing plugs.
  • Add the webinar attendees' email addresses to your newsletter's listerv
  • Send a personal follow-up email post-webinar:
    • informing them they will be added to the newsletter list, how often you send your newsletter, and what content the newsletter will contain
    • re-capping the key takeaways
    • Plugging two other important marketing things (include bit.ly links to track)

"Thank you so much for attending the Adolescent Health Initiative’s webinar with the School-Based Health Alliance on Parent Engagement in SBHCs.

From this webinar, we hope you effectively learned how to:
  1. Recognize best practices of adolescent confidentiality and risk screening
  2. Identify strategies for engaging parents in their child’s health care
  3. Learn about available resources for parents and providers
You can access the recording and slides from today’s webinar here.

Visit AHI's website for additional resources on providing adolescent-centered care. Also, save the date for our 7th Annual Conference on Adolescent Health on April 20-21, 2020, in Detroit, MI.

Welcome Sequences

Develop email automations to engage our mailing list by teamwork, expertise, and innovation.

To accomplish goal #3, I developed a Welcome Email sequence with the support of our Program Team. The goal of this email is to provide an overview of AHI’s services and drive new business. By utilizing the data I collected from Google Analytics throughout FY20, I strategically placed email opt-ins on the top-performing pages (our homepage, the Annual Conference page, and our Webinars & Trainings page). Within the first two days of being live and on the website, we had 20 people sign-up to receive our newsletter.

To date, 99 individuals have signed up for the Welcome Email through the opt-ins, sustaining a 25.3% open rate and a 36.0% click-through rate, both key-performance indicators (KPIs) being well above industry averages. According to Mail Chimp, the industry averages for open rates are 21.33%, and click-through rates sit at 2.62%.
